Nature Outings With Military Families

Our ThroughPlay in Nature program is supported by a grant from The Kendeda Fund and is currently part of a research project exploring the benefits of nature engagement for military families. In coordination with the Ogden Nature Center and the Airmen and Family Readiness Center at Hill Air Force Base, we have been organizing nature outings for military families that build on our educational presentation.

Here are some great photos from the 5 outings we have organized thus far. Approximately 70 parents and 80 children have joined us for the outings and made them a lot of fun! Most of the photos below were taken by the parents participating in the study.
